Sushiya Japanese - Auburn

Ordered teriyaki chicken lunch box, consisted of 7 small pieces of chicken and vegetables (mostly onions). It taste like the onions its cooked with rather than teriyaki flavor. Said it came with a California roll was only 4 very small pieces. Great service. Very disappointed in the food, will not be backFood: 2/5

I went for the first time with a friend who has been several times and highly recommended this restaurant. I had several menu items, including 6 sushi roles (which included the Mango Sushi Tower (without the spicy tuna) in the photo), gyoza, and chicken yakisoba. I can say that all the photo was delicious! I went around 5:30 pm on a weekday night, and the restaurant was empty, so we got served very quickly and received our food very quickly as well. However, around 6:30 pm, it was busy. Our server was polite and able to give recommendations for sushi. The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was nice. Overall, it was a great experience!

My experience today exceeded my expectation overall. My husband and I started by ordering an order of Goyza dumplings which I wasn't too crazy about as they came out fried. I wasn't given an option, so I just assume they would be steamed. They were pretty hard and dry but they tasted okay. As for the sushi, we ordered a couple of rolls and those made up for the dry dumplings for sure. The fish was fresh and had a generous portion. I would definitely come back for the sushi if/ when we are back in town.

Was recommended this place by a buddy of mine. New to the area, so I've been trying to find some solid Asian Cuisine. This place killed it! Fantastic sushi and a surplus of options. Will be making this a regular haunt of mine!
