Avaliação da contribuiçãoFor some unknown reason, this restaurant boasts a 4.5 star rating on its noticeboard outside. Do not for one second be fooled. There is not one single aspect of performance or value in which this restaurant rates above 1/5. If you are paying around 30 Euros average per head for a one course dinner, you expect something special. This restaurant delivered dull, in spades. Firstly, the staff. Not a smile cracked their faces or cheerful enquiry as to the quality of our meal those basics of any quality restaurant worth its title ,throughout our entire meal. Detachment and bored disengagement was the name of the game, with the most half hearted nod towards service imaginable. Then the food. Steak and lamb cutlets alike were semi raw (not at our request), tough and drearily served with an unimaginative mint sauce so salty as to be almost inedible. Of course it is difficult to create a warm atmosphere when the restaurant has a total of 6 people in it but all the more reason to try. The ambience was frosty and unwelcoming absolutely as much of a deterrent as the disappointing food. You would have to pay me handsomely to go back to this restaurant, which potentially could be wonderful, with its old mill setting but is the opposite. What a very great shame that is.
I visited this restaurant following its grand reviews, and was utterly disappointed both against my expectation and against the standard of average restaurants. The steak was overpriced and chewy, the lamb was fatty and gristly and we were served (without explanation or apology) some unknown, oversweetened fruit concoction when we had ordered orange juice (this change was acknowledged on the bill without remorse). To make matters worse, we visited on an extremely quiet night following a storm in the day there was only one other group there, which makes even more inexcusable the poor quality of food and service. All of this would almost be forgiveable was it not for the service standard; two grumpy waiters who ignored us presumably due to our being English and spent the entire night tending to the one other table of French speakers (although 3 of the 4 of us speak perfect French). Not once did anyone ask how our meal was and we engaged only twice with the waiters to order our food and pay the bill. The restaurant was dark silent and frankly awkward and for 118 euros spent on a one course meal I cannot imagine how it gained the reputation on trip advisor it now has. I have had lots of varied restaurant experiences without exaggeration this was honestly the worst in every way. Give this one a miss.
Very nice location, average service and poor food given the price and the average Tripadvisor rating. Cheap ingredients and average cooking, even the bread was below expectation. We had 3 different starters, lunches and dessert and everything was below par.
The restaurant is easy to find and the parking is provided. Access to the terrace, made of stones, bright water and vegetation, is most pleasant. the terrace is also very pretty, with its vestiges of the old mill and its walls refreshed by a small clear water net. Nice welcome, charming card. All the dishes that were served were a happiness for the eyes and taste buds. First good surprise, so.The second concerns a commercial gesture so unexpected that it should be pointed out: a guest who has made us false leaps, we arrived at 3 with two good groupon. So a meal should have been lost. When we asked for the addition for the aperitif and glasses of wine consumed, the owner made a quick calculation and then ended up telling us that this was more or less equivalent to the lost meal. this honesty pushed to the extreme is exceptional. but better yet: while we were dining, a fire has declared itself, ravaged vegetation and 3 cars. Two of the owners of the vehicles were in the restaurant. A table of 2, another of 6 Germans. In front of the distress of the convived uncomfortunate, the owner did not hesitate to offer them the meal they had almost completed at the beginning of the fire. Such empathy is also exceptional.Also, for the excellence of its kitchen as well as the beauty of the frame and the humanity of the owner, don't hesitate to go to restore you in this little paradise!
