La Vecchia Fontana - AVOLA

For authentic home Sicilian food this is a must. Avola isn’t really a touristy destination so most places are authentic but this off the beaten track restaurant is superb. We have the Ricotta Ravioli in Pork Sauce, which I’m reliably told is a Sunday tradition in the area. It was delicious and well recommended

We arrived at this restaurant and asked if we could pay card. We were told we could so we found a table, we then waited 20 minutes and no one came to take our order so my husband went to the bit we had been told was takeaways only. The woman at the till then said no cards so we went to leave. She then changed her mind and produced a card machine. We then sat to eat our lunch and the lady came outside and told the waiters to move tables into the sun. It was really hot and people had to move out into the blazing sunshine in the middle of their meals. We weren't asked to move but just left as we couldn't believe the rudeness of the staff here.

Locale e accoglienza ottimi e cibo buonissimo PS:molto consigliato

Cucina casalinga, menù carne: antipasto, ravioli al sugo di maiale, carne al sugo.....tutto squisito....ci sarebbe voluto un dolcetto a fine pasto prima del caffè.... ma cmq da provare!!!

Ottimo ristorante a conduzione familiare. Ricette siciliane, ottimo servizio ed il cibo. Prezzi modesti, a metri dalla rotonda LIDL.
