OMG, I plan on calling the Health department. This location needed to be closed for a day or two. So much to say. There were so many gnats in this restaurant. It was an infestation. It was so bad it was funny. My husband and I went to the Avon location because we didn't feel like driving to Harry and Izzy at Keysyone crossing. We went here on our 3rd wedding anniversary. This was ridiculous. I ordered the shrimp and lobster soup. I had to place my bread plate over the soup so the bugs didn't eat my soup. The manager didn't stop at our table or anyone table during the evening I'm sure because of bug complaints. I'm calling tomorrow to get a refund and go to a better restaurant for an anniversary do-over. The women at the table across from our table dined and dashed. That's understandable. One was swatting bugs for 30 minutes. I saw the gnats while waiting 15 minutes for a table but I thought it was just at the front door. We didn't have enough time to go to another restaurant, and we like to do something special for our anniversary. My husband and I laughed so hard at the fact we got ourselves into this situation of fighting bugs for our food. The manager was cleaning tables that should have been cleaned long b4. I went to this Avon location on Rockville Rd in Indianapolis, IN, on September 18, 2024. I plan on going to get a full refund plus the tip. This experience was terrible but funny. Everyone on earth is better than this experience. I need my refund tomorrow. I never plan on going back. If Management feels the public deserves to eat bugs and swat bugs, they should be out of business. I'm also calling the Health department. Once Management realized there was an infestation of bugs the restaurant should have been closed for the day and cleaned and exterminated. DO BETTER IN 2024. Yuck.... Oh my mashed potatoes were cold and refused to melt the butter.
Dined alone. Had a craving for steak for lunch. High level service. The steak was cooked perfectly as ordered. Reasonable price. The place is managed well as evidenced by reasonable wait times for food to be be prepared, how fast the waitress acknowledged me, the cleanliness if the exterior and interior, and the consistency of service across board Host, bus boy, timing of food etc). Nice. The steak was really good too.
