Orchid Cafe - Avon

We had our wedding reception in the orchid room. All the staff we met were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our guests really enjoyed exploring nature conservation and we have a lot of compliments on how beautiful the venue was. We are so happy with our choice! My wedding was wonderful. The food was some of the best food I ever had. The dessert was even included and we had made our wedding cake and cupcakes there. They were delicious! The dark chocolate was so moist and the icing was as I asked. We had a wine and mimosa bar with exotic juices and shrimp. That was a big hit. We have to keep the remains and enjoy them again. The staff was about everything before we had to ask. I could enjoy all night. The guests loved to tour the indoor atrium; it was very romantic and so were the outdoor gardens.

Great lunch spot in the gardens and greenhouses of Lorain Metroparks in Avon. Delicious Salads, sandwiches, wraps and treats are offered at reasonable prices that can be enjoyed inside or out. A little gem in the Lorain county Metroparks. Also available for private parties. We recently had a wedding ceremony and reception there originally planned for outdoors. Unfortunately mother nature had other plans but the staff put together a plan B that in some ways was better than the original. We had the ceremony in the conservatory and the staff moved benches, plants, etc. to accommodate the guests. It was beautiful! The caterer (Big Show Catering set up the Orchid Room perfectly, handling all guests with room to dance and socialize. The food was OUTSTANDING! If you're on a budget or would rather forgo a large wedding, this is a perfect venue.

Magnificent place for any kind of bridal shower, or baby shower, or tea party. Clean plant. But they needed to deliver soap near their sink in the kitchen area and the stove/oven is not able to be used. The garden area outside is perfect for pictures!!

Our wedding was perfect. We love the outdoor area so the ceremony was in the gardens what we were looking for. The Freiland butterfly house and the indoor orchid rain forest Atrium created wonderful pictures. The guests enjoyed the view and everything to do. At night the cord over the gardens created such a beautiful ambience. Especially, Big Show Catering has such a good job with the food. I think every guest told us how much the food loved. They even made our wedding cake that came even better, then we introduced ourselves.
