Le Bercail - Baie-Saint-Paul

Pizza with local cheese and vegetables directly from the hotel's garden, seafood and laughter all delicious.

I went twice during my stay at the hotel and the first night was mediocre at best. The price of my meal compared to what I got, I got the spaghetti. But the second night I got a pizza with the table d’hôte and it was amazing. My entire meal was good. So I guess you have to be careful and choose the right thing ?I would definitely recommend but only if you choose something worth it ??‍ so I guess it’s trial and error.

The service was horrible. The restaurant was very disorganized. We arrived on time for our 8pm reservation we were told to wait. We were eventually seated at 8:15pm. We had a small child in our group 20 minutes passed before we saw a waitress who finally filled our water another 20 mins passed before our order was taken we tried to order two drinks but the restaurant was apparently “out” of ingredients another 20 minutes passed before we asked a second time for our meals. The waitress had NOT put in our orders yet despite so much time passing after the meal we had to ask for take-away containers and the bill the bill did not arrive. I had to ask the bartender a second time for the bill. He snarled at me and indicated it was not his problem and said to find my server eventually the bill arrived. It was a 135 minute marathon dinner that should have been a quick meal given the cost of the menu and hotel this restaurant was not a good experience. The food was tasty. The atmosphere was fine.

We stopped for lunch on our way from Montreal to la Malbaie and booked lunch for my wife’s birthday at Le Bercail. Food and service were both excellent. Setting was very casual. Prices were reasonable although a bit pricey for lunch I am not sure what their evening menu pricing is like

My friend enjoyed the delicious beef tartar, but my baby back ribs were disappointing as they were dry and seemed to have been prepared earlier and left sitting around. We arrived at 8:00 for our reservation and were seated promptly. The service was good overall.
