Denny's - Bakersfield

Food was good. Waiter was really good. He didn't want to get tip. He said it's OK. We insited we want to give and finally he accepted. On our way out, we overheard next customer was facing same situation with waiter. Never met humble waiter like him. I wish him his success along the way. Thak yiu.

Had to run to Bakersfield for the day and found a Dennys right up the road. Greeted me with a smile, got me seated and and made sure I was well taken care of. Never had a bad experience at any Dennys!

I had the Senior over 55 meal deal which was the Chicken Fried Steak. Andrew was our 17 year old Waiter new in the Restaurant Biz, reminding me of myself at that age. His Service was polite, professional and on point. The Chicken Fried Steak which all three of us had was excellent. We loved it and will return.

Waited over hour and 20 minutes for seating was told 20 to 30. Large empty section of tables unused. Diners that arrived much later had their meals on their tables long before we were served. We were party of 2. Food was served cold, and items missing. Waitress was nice, but rest of service was horrible!! Was NOT a busy time, nor holiday so no excuse for long wait time, cold food, and overcharged for items that weren't ordered. Won't return to this location

The waitress barely served us and the food was not fresh at all—-they all tasted like frozen food after microwave for 5 mins and the water had a bad taste in it—bitter, smelly, like Dawn detergent. Don’t try their pancakes and the sauces prepared, they are a complete disaster.Besides, the waitress never explained why my food arrived that late, why only my bread had no butter in it, and why our table lack a pair of folk and knife.Lastly, I had to wait another 5 minutes at the reception because of a broken machine.
