Avaliação da contribuiçãoI don't know what they attempted to pass as lasagna but this was not a very good dish!
Last time I was here was 1970, with the girl who is STILL my wife. Used to come here regularly in the 60s when in High school (Baldwin HS, where else? Was my favorite pizza then, and was in Baldwin last week...came in for Pizza...how could I not? Still the best!!!! Great bar scene. 60s and 70s rock band and great bar scene. Waited 20-30 mins for a table at 9 PM Saturday night. Somethings never change...THANK GOD! Have the clams oreganato as well.
I have lived in the area for years, and always thought this place was just a bar. What a surprise. I friend told me about it an I am so glad I tried it. The portions are enormous, and the prices are low. The service was outstanding. Best sauce I've had since my grandmother's! Our server advised that it gets packed in the weekends, so be sure to call ahead. Can't say enough....try it for yourself.
Great food, great service, great time... Would recommend to everyone.
Considering this was local pizza place for many years whose clientele were seedy at best and it 's claim to fame was an old fashioned style bar. This newly renovated cozy and nicely appointed restaurant serves up comfort food like Grandma used to cook. The veal is like the old days in Brooklyn. The portions are huge, so be prepared to bag it. Make sure you ask them to light on the red sauces as they are a bit too heavy. Fish is cooked perfectly and if like soup... some of the tastiest around. The owner "JR ', has changed this place for the better, you know this is so by needing a reservation on the weekends dining! The wait staff and hostess are always accommodating. A perfect place for a small party or business luncheon. Congrats and continued good luck to JR and his staff for making NOVI a winner among Baldwin 's otherwise mediocre restaurants.
