Maroo Sushi - BALGOWLAH

Good quality Japanese food in a nice restaurant. I recommend getting there right on 6pm as the sushi train hits high-tide in regard to choice. They really need to learn how to give more than one menu to a table of four people though. Its like they have a rule that only one person can read a menu at a time.

Service with a smile and genuine sense of staff enjoying their work. Food Quality above average and we can judge after 3 weeks in Japan recently.

This swish sushi salon is bliss on a budget. Chic chicken skewers: scrumptious, succulent, sapid and sweet. A tantalising tempura so light it floats towards us, as if conveyed on plane or boat or train. Then we fly hiya : higher as the seven dollar chardy kicks into the quality/cost continuum. There are several good points to share about Sushi Roll. The first being that the sushi is always fresh and flavoursome. Secondly that it is family friendly with never a complaint from the staff about children which takes me to the third point, i.e. the location. Situated above the smallish Stockland Mall it has plenty of courtyard and space for summer dinners and children to stretch their legs while parents continue a quiet meal. I'm a local and a big fan of Local's Corner. Great unpretentious food, friendly service, relaxing atmosphere and less than a 2 minute walk from home. What more do I need to say?
