Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe centre is great. Very interactive and educational. To be honest, our kids weren 't keen to go, but half way through, the 9 year old says.... 'actually mum, this is quite interesting '. Ha ha. We spent about an hour there.
I dropped into the Eureka Centre as I'd heard so much about it and I wanted to share it with some school clients. Absolutely worthwhile visiting. At only $6 for a child entry fee, it's excellent value for money. There is plenty to see, with stunningly laid out it has plenty of interactive educational displays. Viewing the original Eureka flag was quite special to me as a Melbournite. The story that goes along with it is equally interesting. The centre also has a theatre where presentations are given as well. There is a coffee shop available on site, although it wasn't open at the time I was there. THere is a gift shop which has some beautiful items for purchase, especially for tourists. Located just as you drive into Ballarat from the east, it's surrounded by green grass, a playground, toilets nearby and plenty of parking. There are picnic tables and seats and a shelter. This is a must visit when visiting Ballarat. Sovereign Hill is one thing but this is far more intimate, personal and contained into one facility. Highly recommend.
Absolutely loved it. The speakers made us very welcome even though there was a school group going through. The interactive displays, cafe and the gift shop were top class. A very proud and informative experience.
A bit light on for stories, but otherwise excellent. The flag itself is a must see. Well presented. I wish they would bring back some sort of live show on eureka stockade battle
Very well presented, and multiple exhibits. The remaining flag is on secure display, tho little is made of the overcrowding control aspect of the licence law. More feely ethic; a pity. The touch screens tell a good story but don't indicated how long they are, how many pages. A lot left unfinished, I imagine: no end in sight. A good enterprise.
