Sammy's Trattoria - Baltimore

1 hour after we ordered we had not received our meal. The tables next to us, who sat after we had ordered had been served, eaten and paid. When we asked where our food was the waiter told us it should be coming soon. There was no apology or anything. After 1 hour 15 minutes we paid for our drinks and left. Horrible service.

This family run restaurant never fails to serve up incredible food that tastes like it was made at home. Among other things, you must start with the Julia salad and then order any of their delicious pastas. The service at the bar is also fantastic. Don't miss this place.

We had an amazing experience Saturday night. We went there for dinner before an event at the Lyric (which was only a short walk away). The hostess was very professional and accommodating when I called to change our reservations from 2 to 4 people. She said the tables were booked but she reserved space for us to eat at the bar and it worked well. The bartender was very nice and the drinks were great. They were serving 70 Hopkins lacrosse players in the lower level so the wait for our food was longer than expected but they communicated well and it was obvious they were trying to create a good experience. The crab toast was yummy as well as all the food we ordered. I highly recommend and will be back!

Always a great experience. Val is a wonderful at providing service. The food was delicious and priced very reasonably!

The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I would return.
