The terrace is great! the pasta was just fine. I also tried the dried meat that is a Barichara specialty and that was quite good, although it has no other place to compare it.
We were in Barichara during the middle of the week and therefore have only a few dining options. We ended up going to La Nube. Yes, it's a beautiful courtyard, but that's about it. It's trying to be an upscale restaurant (with upscale prices) but...falls very short. While we were waiting for our food, all we could hear coming from the kitchen was the BEEP! Of the microwave over over again. Seriously. I assume they were microwaving my dish, supposedly a caprese pasta. It turned out to be store bought pasta sauce from a jar. It was 20.000 pesos. Simply a rip off and it tasted terrible. I could have made pasta sauce in my hotel room. My husband had a peanut chicken dish, which which was pretty good but over priced as well. Lesson- dont waste you money with microwave chefs!
Place is beatiful, very clean and excellent food, staff unbeatable, from manager to waiters, minimalist decoration, small place
You can't come to barichara without asking for the "burned seed" of the inn cloud restaurant. or talk about breakfasts: absolutely recommended the "bones of the rose."
