Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe visited this bar to have something to drink. There was only room for a very dirty table with beer and cigart ash above all. We waited very long and had to call several times to clear the table. They removed beer and cigarettes but did not dry the table! so we waited again for a long time to be served. We will not be back to that.
I was over the moon to discover Bambou bar on my last visit to Barjac. It is truly a little piece of Thailand. Bamboo and other tropical lush vegetation, a stream with a little wooden bridge and pagodas over the tables. There was a acoustic guitarist playing and we enjoyed cocktails on a balmy evening. It is however closed when peak season finishes unfortunately.
The terrace is nice the menu is elaborate. but the dishes are not very cheap. childrens menu is nuggets frites but they have pizza also. Childrens dishes can be served before the parents.
I reviewed Bamboo bar a couple of years ago as I spend a couple of months each summer in Barjac. I’d always loved the atmosphere but the food was notoriously bad...apart from the pizzas (but hey pizza is a pizza! but this year they have added a eclectic menu including Thai dishes to match the beautiful Thai garden setting. All the food looked really well presented and tasty (there’s also burgers etc... but the highlight was the wonderful duo of musicians that have residency this summer and play from 7pm each night. Not only do they play/sing wonderful songs that are perfectly suited to summer evenings from France/Brazil/Latin America/English but they are so friendly and come around in the breaks and have a chat to everyone and if they hear of a celebration make sure they dedicate some songs to them. A really lovely place to spend an evening. But be warned if you are into cocktails. They are pricey!
Strange to find a bamboo/tiki bar in this small French town. The staff was great, the food was fun but the highest cuisine. Recommended if you aren't expecting too much. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Bambou Bar.
