Steak House Chez Ernest - Barranquilla

Too expensive for what you get. Use to be good again, on the day it was known as Steak House. The owner goes and his heirs have overpriced and served his clientele. What a shame.

This guy invites people $100,000 pesos for a steak. It's really good, but never this price. In Barranquilla you can also get good steaks in Miura, Dijon, La Piazzetta etc... He calculates for water four times more, for appetizers and cork fee astronomical prices. More is the Buzz than the Peice he accuses.

Highly recommended by a local, and we were not disappointed. This is a true find and one of the best pepper steaks I have ever had, if not the best. The service is brilliant with the owner being part of the team. Onion soup (a benchmark for any French restaurant) was fantastic. It is worth coming to Barranquilla just for the Chez Ernest experience. Highly recommend.

No doubt, best steak place in Barranquilla and maybe Colombia. Price is a high but you pay for the superb quality of food. Side dishes also very good. Have to reserve in advance.
