Restaurant Grünpfahl - Basel

We ordered mixed meze plate, shrimp with calypso sauce and poulet peel. It was very delicious for all three of us. The staff was friendly and had English menus. The only negative was that at the time we arrived, too many people were, the tea could have been stronger, and the food costs as much as most things in Switzerland. But the food was definitely worth the price.

Chicken Garden Salad was one of the best I have eaten! Salami Pita Pizza was FANTASTIC! Family business restaurant friendly, fast and fresh.

I had simple but refreshing and healthy desert, yogurt with honey and mint. Perfect blend of sweet and cold. And the owner/Walter was very frinedly, although he didn’t speek German, we managed to undestand.

I think, I’m not exaggerating if I say the food was one of the best I have ever eaten in restaurant. It looked amazing as well. The welcome was very friendly and the place was very clean too. If I’ll have a chance to come back to Basel again in the future, I’ll definitely visit this place again! Highly recommended!
