Assembly Rooms Cafe By Searcys

Had a coffee break on our visit to Bath. It has just re-opened following Covid-19 shutdown and Felix did a grand job in getting our order together.

Fantastic surroundings backed up by fantastic staff polite and informative excellent in every way , Definitely on my will go again superb

Came across the cafe whilst visiting the Assembly Rooms. We just stopped for tea and cake, which was nice and not a bad price. The staff were helpful and friendly, but I think the appeal is more for the surroundings, but we enjoyed it.

Hot and cold lunchtime choices, plus licensed area. Friendly staff who bring your food to your table. Lovely surroundings and very clean!

I was hopeful for something the smallest bit special being connected to the historic assembly rooms. What a disappointment! Just full of externally run generic fare you’d find anywhere (I assume all bought in stuff) not helped at all by unhelpful staff; I ordered cream tea and told to help myself and got a scone with a pre packaged jelly style jam (disappointing) and it wasn’t until I was half way eating them when I went to collect a coffee when the server asked if I wanted the cream to go with the scones would have been helpful to know that before I had eaten half of it! So much could be done with this space, but Unfortunately it’s just used as a generic cafe space you’d find anywhere. Disappointed.
