Oriental Pearl - Baton Rouge

Beautiful buffet style Chinese or sit and order. Restaurant owner is friendly and polite.

Recently oriental pearl on Sherwood was consistently better than Hunan, which is above the road. The best time is always after the first wave of Diners dedicated the first batch of food, and the food is then refilled. I don't know if they are called Vermicelli noodles, but the white noodles were excellent. Sesame chicken was very good. The chicken on one floor was very good. The dimming drums or pot stickers were good and had a pineapple soy diving sauce to accompany them. The hot and acid soup was good. The garlic shrimps were excellent. Beef and chicken dishes were good. The salt and pepper litter were good. The roasted rice was a C. It could have used something. The presentation and freshness was there, but it was missing that aromatic vibe that classical fried rice usually has. I don't like Mayo sauce on my sushi, so I didn't try anything. I go to this place consistently. The service is always great. The owner is always friendly, and the whole crew works hard. I'm going back. Look at her when you're in the area.

My wife and I have been here since our first date about 18 years ago. It was great then. Guess. It's still great today. It's our favorite restaurant.
