Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe went to tsunami for a celebrity family and could no longer impress with the service, the food and the intention. four of the 5 people in our party were vegetarian/vegans and our waiter, joe, has an excellent task to advise us on the best vegetarian dresses and avoid any dishes. joe was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, detailed and polite. he looked after our table and was not touched by our asking or the pickiness. we ordered several dishes of tofu roll, Japanese sweet roll, the sunomono salat, and the sweet kartoffel hatch. for dessert we ordered the chocolate-laden tsunami cake and the Japanese tiramisu to round it, joe surprised us with a complementary serving of mochi ice cream (picture.) we look forward to the next time we are in baton rouge to come back to tsunami.
Best sushi bar and rooftop experience with views of the mississippi river! I love this place. great service!
I went recently and had a “Mädchentag” with my 6 year old niee here and I can’t say enough good things about the staff and eating. good service and hospitality always drives me to write a review. it is so hard to go into a restaurant and have people who seem really happy that they are there. I had to call back or make reservations because I thought I had put my judge in. I felt so terrible and he was completely understanding. When we were there, they sat us fast. our waitress was attentive and sweet. the maid day consisted of my 6 year old niece and me and it was her first time here. she loved everything I did! at the end they brought us a dessert and wrote on it, said it happy girls day! they made their feeling so special. the whole food was very good, especially the Thai noodles. it was a beautiful day!
EXTREMELY underwhelming and completely disappointing. Sunflower(their specialty) had a not fresh taste and cost more than an entire all you can eat sushi meal from Masa Sushi (which is much better than here btw). Extremely noisy and made my head hurt. Everyone pretty much has to yell if seated inside. Big Easy was big on oil and not easy to eat. It smelled like it was fried on low heat so it soaked up all the old oil. Seems like they don’t change their oil enough too. Server was friendly but didn’t make up for the taste of the food.
We love Tsunami. The view is amazing. The atmosphere is upscale. The food is flavorful. Definitely one of our go-to restaurants in BR!
