Amanda's Bakery Co. - Bay Shore

Spent a couple hours in this cute bake shop when a meeting was postponed. What a great detour! All their baked goods look incredible. They clearly have a solid customer base for cakes, as people were either in and out during my whole time placing orders, or they were calling orders in on the phone.I had a little snack; an edible cookie dough, doughnut, and just a black coffee. All very good!

Picked up a blueberry muffin and coffee while on my way to class. It was on a Friday morning and they had a small selection of pastries and it looked fresh. My muffin was delicious and had a great crumb. The staff was nice and welcoming. My coffee was actually very good! A nice surprise and I will definitely stop by again.

This place is not it. We miss Rolling Pin. We would come here all the time because there were no other options on Main Street (Flour Shoppe Cafe saved us). The owner is not friendly at all! We would come for treats after school for the convenience but nothing we've tried really stands out. Flavors are always off and their trea leches was just awful. Their fridge is pretty close to a freezer as everything is always hard as a rock. The cupcakes are very small for the price and the brownies have a weird after taste. Everyone else behind the counter is kind and helpful so I'm giving the stars for the staff. Dulce de Leche in Brightwaters is 10 times better and they're friendly as well.

I walked in to order my sons first birthday cake, I described what I wanted which was only a cake for 20 people. I was told I had to contact the manager through email to ask for permission to order the cake and when I asked if they can contact the manager I was told they can't reach him/her and I needed to email them. I was told I'd get a response within 24-48 hours if I was approved to order my cake. When you are planning a party you don't have time to wait 1-2 days for a response. Bad customer service. Campbell's bakery was more than accommodating in letting me order my cake from ugh the same theme for my sons first birthday.
