Avaliação da contribuiçãoFood was overall fine, although nothing to be excited about. Staff was friendly, but not very fast to react. Prices look to high for the level of quality they give. So overall average.
My wife and I stopped off here on our way to the car ferry at Oistreham for the overnight to Portsmouth; half hour drive after our dinner. Not great ambience but not expected in this this type of establishment but clean, easily accessible and friendly welcome. Standard Campanile format, starter buffet, choice of main, dessert buffet so anyone could tailor their meal to suit their appetite or preference. We just had main, dessert and coffee and everything was very good whilst being reasonably priced; the dessert buffet was fantastic and limitless. I had booked our table via La Fourchette which I use often because as well as sometimes getting a discount you have a definite destination for your meal and don't waste lots of time looking for somewhere to eat in a strange town whilst having a reasonable idea of what to expect. Great food, great value and I would certainly eat here again.
After arriving late to the small town of Bayeux, we decided to walk to town near where our room was located. The first place we stumbled upon was Restaurant Campanile Bayeux. This is situated apart from the hotel of which it is part of and at first glance seemed rather empty. However once we entered it was decently full of other diners at this late hour (about 9:30 pm). The staff spoke enough English for us to get by. The restaurant serves buffet style for one flat price. You can also order off a menu. My husband ordered the salmon which was served hot and cooked just right. I ordered the buffet as I wanted soup and salad. The soup was a wonderful chicken vegetable and the salad was one you could prepare to your liking with lots of greens, carrots, boiled egg, cheese, tomatoes, bread and butter. It was just what I wanted. There was also some heartier fare like quiche. Pate was served right away too. There was a variety of desserts including mouse, tarts, cookies, cakes and all were wonderful. I think the only reason I don't rate this higher is we really wanted to find something that had more atmosphere considering the location we were in and this really has more of a off-highway type of feeling. It was very clean, staff was excellent and friendly.
This hotel is ideally placed. The team was extraordinary with our group of 20 people and I highly recommend it to you.
Hello, so the welcome didn't say anything about the room. On the other hand, on the dried bread limit of the day before and the charcuterie, and on the evening restoration, it is the same limit nothing to do with the campanile before.
