418 Bar Grill - Beatrice

4one8 is a solid 3 star restaurant that I think could get a 4 or 5 if they just tighten up their flavors. I've only ordered take out so I can't speak of the atmosphere or service. The food has been consistently good. I typically get their sandwiches which are always stacked high and very filling. They could use some improvement with their salads and sides. Overall I'll keep coming to 4one8 for their sandwiches and hopefully have a better review for them once the pandemic is done

Food is ok and was much better in the past. Previously I would eat here several times a month but the quality has gone down hill and service is non-existent. Spent nearly 2 hours there a few weeks ago and didn't get a single refill. The server dropped my salad on the floor and I guess decided I didn't need a replacement because he never brought another one out. So I had nothing to drink and half my food never made it to the table. Previously they would deliver just down the street to the brewery and the brewery had their menus available. The last time I tried to get a delivery the person on the phone hung up the second I said where I was. I figured that it was just a fluke so I called back and they hung up again. They hung up on me 3 times when I asked to have something delivered to the brewery. Had two of my buddies at our table call and they were hung up on as well. Reached out to management and they just flat refused to say anything.

I wanted to love this place. But the staff was not wearing masks, the tables were all tight together- I guess it is a restaurant that does not believe in Covid or the need to keep guests even a little safe? I was sorta willing to overlook that as we were in a booth, but it seemed really inconsiderate. My dish was so mushy and watery and kinda gross I had to send it back after a two bites. I was surprised when the waiter did not try to fix the situation and then charged me full price for the dish anyway. The side dish was great, and it is lovely inside, really cute. I wanted to have found a new go-to romantic dinner place, but I felt like the staff did not show much care for their customers experience, or even for basic safety-it just felt sort of arrogant and not centered on service. Sort of bummed out about it, actually.

We received great service and was delicious. We will go back.

Service was less than pleasing, food was not cooked correctly. Expectations were not met to say the least.
