Southern Sweets Ice Cream Parlor Sandwich Shop

Charming vintage ice cream parlor with the absolute BEST ICE CREAM in Beaufort. The prices are unbelievably reasonable. The sandwiches are fantastic too—definitely try the LT DAN! It's a bit off Bay Street (near Old Bay Market Place), so keep an eye out for the moving signs on your way. It's definitely worth a visit when you're in the city, like I did today. If I lived here, I'd dine here all the time!

I write my review when I sit here to finish my milkshake. First, the staff was great. I didn't ask for any blows on my shake and double checked them to be safe. My sandwich was delicious the southern flair. Excellent pimiento cheese. The milkshake is so good, her ice cream is obviously top notch.

Best shakes in downtown Beaufort! They also serve the best chili dogs! Hailey was fantastic and really helped me out when I was in a rush. I believe the other staff member's name is Dan; my apologies if I'm mistaken, but we always have pleasant conversations. And Bre does an excellent job of getting the orders out quickly. Everything is always fresh!

5 stars for trouble! They were one of a few restaurants on Bay Street that were open on the commemorative day and they felt the pressure. But the staff kept all their cool and worked extra hard and were still very polite and friendly for all their males. We have the hot dog of the Southern Nights and the chili dog of the Big Chill. Both were very good. The dogs themselves were very good with a beautiful “snap”. And for dessert we had a delicious chocolate malt.

Some of the best gumbo that I have had. I heard at least a couple other people in the restaurant complimenting the gumbo. Indeed awesome! Enjoyed the ice cream also! Friendly service too.
