LA's out of control crime, undocumented illegals and homelessness are some of the worst in the country however dining at La Scala on Bresaola Di Manzo, Ravioli Alla Scala, Tiramisu and a glass of fine wine might help ease the concern that your freedom and well being are truly in jeopardy.
This used to be one of my favorite places to have lunch, but the quality has gone down over the past few years. I mean, it's not a bad place, but it was once much better than it is today. The food quality is noticeably less palatable than it was when I used to live out here. I wish the staff paid more attention to their surroundings, because I had to repeatedly ask for my waiter, but he was too busy talking to another one. I have enough good memories of this place to say that I would definitely come back, but I expect the management to inculcate into their wait staff a better appreciation of their customers.
This is a classic old Bev Hills Italian restaurant (think red leather booths), bar in the back, white table cloths. Warm, inviting and with some killer favorites! Think spaghetti bolognese chopped Italian salad! Extensive wine list, fabulous menu and all prepared to perfection. It's an iconic place. I love it.But, disappointed we were overcharged on the bill, (they corrected it) and though I told them we were there to celebrate our birthdays, no one offered us a token dessert, or treated it as special occasion. It was a shame. We went on a cold and rainy day. Oh, well. You're sure to enjoy the food!!! and it's a popular place. No reservations at lunchtime. Prices
