Kdw - Bielefeld

Easy to see why this restaurant is always in the top three of Bielefeld reviews. We booked a table for New Year’s Eve and needless to say it was a full house, we still had first class service from the friendly and efficient staff. They...had even gone to the trouble of writing out an English version of the set menu just for us. The food was great and the wine very drinkable! We had a most enjoyable evening and only wished we could have stayed longer, we look forward to returning.

As a regular visitor, although for the first time since the beginning of the covid, this visit was very disappointing. I found that the meal was below its normal standards. I had the lamb cuts that were 60% fat, although they were well cooked majority was not. because of the fat. in any case not the kind of quality that I have received in the past.

My husband (who is originally from Bielefeld) and I recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at KDW. We went here because of the rave reviews on Trip Advisor. The restaurant is cozy and modern. We got a complimentary bottle of Ouzo which was a nice surprise....The Greek wine selection was fantastic (compared to the choices in Canada where we live). Very shortly after we ordered our meal the appetizers came out right away. The homemade tzaktiki was so delicious. I could have eaten it all night with bread and called that a meal. For our mains, my husband had lamb loin (another rarity in Greek restaurants in Canada) and I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken. We forego dessert because frankly we had no room. However, my husband did indulge in a Greek coffee which was made right at the table when our server pulled up her coffee cart. Overall, a fantastic dinner at a great price. The next time we come for a visit to Bielefeld, we will definitely come back!

Let the food inspire your review. Not much to say, but excellent! The lamb is yummy. Could have been more ; but overall a place for a nice couple or family dinner.

We have eaten in many Bielefeld restaurants and the dining we experienced here with friends was one of the best. This is Greek with a modern twist with excellent service and although a little pricey, the quality matched the price. We all enjoyed the Ouzo...which came with the sharing salad and vegetables at the start, and all of us were really impressed by the quality of the meat and the accompanying gratin potatoes with a difference. This was topped off with great wine and good quality desserts We will be back and would recommend if yo want to enjoy great quality food, in an impressive atmosphere with very friendly service.
