Avaliação da contribuiçãoEverything is summed up in this text! I politely asked the staff for a table for 4, only to be told that they were closed, despite seeing people inside and outside. It was then revealed to me that I needed to speak Dutch in order to be served. I noticed that Dutch-speaking customers were warmly welcomed while others were turned away. In short, if you want to avoid being disappointed and wasting time, I suggest crossing the border to France for your next coastal dining experience.
That's all I have to say! I politely approached the staff for a table for our party, but was told it was closed both inside and outside. I then realized that we had to address the owner in Dutch, the language of Vondel. I observed that Dutch-speaking customers were welcomed with open arms, while we were turned away. To avoid any further disappointment and for my last time on the Belgian coast, I will cross the border and dine in France instead.
I recently visited this restaurant with a party of 4 and had a disappointing experience. Upon arrival, I was informed that they were closed, both inside and outside. I soon realized that the staff preferred to communicate in Dutch, which made it difficult for non-Dutch speakers like myself. The service seemed more welcoming towards Dutch-speaking customers. Overall, I was not impressed and would not recommend going out of your way to dine here. This will be my last visit to the Belgian coast as I plan to cross the border and dine in France instead.
