Avaliação da contribuiçãoHaving had my fill of bread and dairy products, I stopped in here needing a change of pace. I was a bit confused as there were apparently a number of items that could be made vegetarian but it wasn't clear from their menu. Nonetheless, I settled on a smoky bean sprout and tofu dish. I can't say that it was as smoky as I'd hoped, but it was reasonably tasty and met my goal. I'd gotten rather used to not having restaurants available in the open areas of New Zealand, but in this case I do wonder if I could have done better.
Ordered the classic red thai curry, very angry duck and slow cooked pork belly. The red thai curry was very sweet. Not a fan at all and I've had amazing red curries. The very angry duck was meant to be spicy but there was no spice at all. The pork belly had a weird flavour between an Indian curry and something else. It didn't taste slow cooked at all as the meat was dry and I've had slow cooked before where the meat was super soft and not chewy. Had also put spicy in the additional notes when placing the order but it was not. Overall really dissapointed as had seen all these amazing reviews but the flavour was not there.
Excellent service and great drink menu. SO many choices of cuisine. The cream cheese roll app was amazing. And the Thai spicy fried rice (I got HOT) rivaled any Thai food I've had! SOoooooo good! Do yourself a favor and stop in here. I imagine everything on the menu is just as top notch as what we had!! A Reccomendation from our wine tour guide and he was spot on!!! Awesome food!!!!!
We waited for over 30 minutes for our starter to arrive one came and the second a while after. Main came just before we had finished our starter. Bland food. Another couple walk out ad served cold Main. The kitchen is at fault here, felt sorry for the two front of house staff. Will not return. Service: Dine in
