Wonderful staff is friendly and food consistently excellent, why we come back

I went to Max's for lunch with a friend I hadn't seen for a long time. We sat on the terrace for 4 hours. The lobster omelet was divine! The server didn't rush us and was always there when we needed him. I'd go back any time.

Outside seating in a very popular area. Alive with people and music. With my son and older cousins. They ran out of Grey Goose Vodka. Started to rain. We wanted them to move an umbrella over, but we moved the table back to share an umbrella. Had pita and hummus, which was awful. Ordered a Salmon dish. It was some kind of huge salad with salmon. not a regular looking entree. Waiter was rushing us repeatedly. Then he said the kitchen was closing. We asked for The check w/o even seeing a dessert menu. Asked to wrap up our food The waiter brought a tin to put the food in, with no top, and left The bill. Came back for The bill, brought the receipt, but never brought the top or a plastic bag to put it in. My son got up and found the waiter hanging out inside folding napkins with his friends. Service is important to the quality of the meal. Ambiance Was fun. Food average.

The food was ok but the drinks were not good. The coconut mojito was mixed poorly and the $5 mimosa was not worth 5 bucks for how flat it was. Ended up with just a false of wine which was obviously great. They also removed bottomless brunch

Last time we visited it was very crowded and the service was not very good. This time it was very crowded and the service couldn't have been better! We were seated promptly, got our drinks quickly, and all was perfect.
