The restaurant's atmosphere is in need of improvement. Upon entering, the air seemed smoky and the tables and chairs appeared to be cheap. Our seating area had stacks of boxes in plain view, and one of the restrooms was closed, causing a long line for the only available one. There were reports of a clogged toilet, so we were hesitant to flush. The restaurant could benefit from some updates or simple additions like plants to enhance the ambiance. The floors were dirty, and we had to request them to be wiped down. The food was average, but not outstanding. The most disappointing aspect was when we asked for a refill of ice tea to go, and the waitress hesitated before informing us it was a one-time exception. With so many other dining options in the Treasure Valley, there is little reason for us to return to this restaurant. Overall, it may have been a one-time visit for us.
Overall food was good... the Pickle Board was great, would definitely order again. Brisket Sandwich was good, but tends to be a little dry without adding extra sauce. Not sure why they do not cut off the fat from their brisket, although it is good, I had to remove my sandwich to cut off the half-inch fat layer on the meat. Nobody wants to eat all that fat! In addition, their meat plates are quite expensive, $35 for a bbq platter is quite ridiculous.
Menu was different from what we found at Open Table, fewer choices, higher prices. Lucky The prices advertised in Open Table do not apply. Service was good, drinks were decent, but dishes were between terrible and easy ok. Worst dish you can order are Mac and cheese (we had this for our daughter). We won't be back.
The restaurant Ambiente needs help! The first impression was that it was smokey in there. Then the tables and chairs were just cheap. Where we sat, there were stacks of juicy boxes on the level. One of the toilets was closed and they only have one onesie, so there was always one line. Then the toilet was secured in the rest of the bathroom after the lady before me, so I didn't even dare to rinse. You urgently need an update, but if that is not affordable, at least some plants and things that are cheap, but can make a difference. The floors were dirty. My mom had to ask her to be wiped when she almost slipped. The food was decent, but not great. What made me the most wrong was that we went after an iced tea refill, and when the waitress hesitated, I pointed out that my mother never got a refill. When she returned the cup, she made a point to tell us that we do not expect that in the future and that they made an exception. Really? It's a 5 cent iced tea for which you charge $3 bucks! With all the great decisions in the Treasure Valley, there was not much to force me to go back here. Probably a first and last time.
Great menu. Best pulled pork I've had in years. Exceptional friendly service.
