Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe used JJs Island Grindz as the caterer for our wedding and couldn't be happier. Ray (the owner) and Ellis (the catering manager) were an absolute joy to work with. Their service was excellent and we were very happy to have them to answer all of our questions and/or concerns. The food they provided was amazing! All of our guests commented at how great the food was and how it was the best wedding catering they had ever eaten. All of their staff were friendly and professional as well. Catering prices were very favorable considering the difference in quality between JJs and any old catering company.Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an incredible catered meal!
This place was not to shabby!! Definitely worth checking out! Large portions, great service, good atmosphere, and the food was delicious!
The most delicious food!!! We have ordered catering several times for our office and this is an absolute favorite. The orange rice has the most amazing flavor. Chicken katsu is also so delicious. Most unique and yummy fusion. Highly recommend!!
Really good food from Oceania. The owner is from Guam, and so there are a ton of Guamanian and Hawaiian foods on the menu. Kalbi beef ribs were amazing, potato salad was awesome. The kids got virgin strawberry daquiris and that was a huge hit. Overall, AMAZING food that everyone should be checking out.
I really wanted to like this place as it is close to us and I love island inspired fusion cuisine. The truth is it’s a good place to go for drinks and maybe a couple of the appetizers but that’s it. Beyond the teriyaki chicken wing appetizers and the fried shrimp patties, the rest of the food looked good but lacked flavor. How you make rice bland is beyond me but the fried rice was mushy and wet and their macaroni salad is just off. It has a very odd taste and texture to it and it does not resemble Mac salad in the slightest flavor wise. The chicken and red rice was bland and garlic shrimps did not even taste of garlic. I hope the chef goes back to the drawing board to figure out some flavor and revamp the menu. I believe it would be better with a smaller menu focused more on flavor than a large menu on quantity. The sushi is okay but not for the cost- there is way better in San Diego. Overall, it was a huge disappointment. I gave this place another shot after my bad first experience so this was actually my second time dining there. I rarely write reviews of anything but I do think people should know what they are getting into.
