Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis was very close to being a perfect suburban Japanese culinary experience for me, with just a few little beuls keeping it from my new native.
After my favorite Japanese restaurant in balwyn changed hands (and quality) I was desperate to find another place to satisfy my demand for perfect.
We come here regularly. the personal is so beautiful and accommodating. we support the local families and are happy to do so. eating is classic Japanese. we love the sashimi, wasabi prawns and teriyaki bark. the banquet is exceptionally valuable.
Came here as my mother told me that she knew the cook here and he used to cook for a steakhouse that she used always got in richmond. the restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but quickly filled, eating tasted quite fresh, but was not spectacular. the bark we ordered was cooked to perfection, but we found the price of the menu very high ..
After my favourite Japanese restaurant in Balwyn changed hands (and quality) I was desperate to find another venue to satisfy my craving for perfect tempura: crisp crunchy batter, with no taste of over-used frying oil and vegetables with some bite to them. Wa Fu fulfilled my requirements. Each succulent piece of the mixed vegetable selection (eggplant, zucchini, carrot and sweet potato) survived the 10 minute drive home in a brown paper bag and was complemented by the best Nasu Dengaku I have ever had: the deep fried egg-plant melted in our mouth, the miso sauce was perfectly balanced between sweet and savoury and left us feeling that this is a place to revisit! The warm welcome, the cleanliness and the ambiance further convinced us that we can stop searching for the perfect place for casual Japanese dining at an excellent price. We will definitely be back.
