Avaliação da contribuiçãoI enjoyed Dr. Rosen? Salad Bowl, though, as is often the case for, I needed to go back for more (a custom turkey sandwich on rye bread). My Buddy and I chose to walk up the three flights of stairs to eat on the ?roof? (there is an elevator) to view thefoothills and the city. There are quite a number of choices for seating. Disadvantage: the cost of eating two lunches on PearlStreet Mall.
Best vegan Reuben I have ever had in my life, and I have eaten A LOT of vegan Reubens. It was spectacular. Thick slices of rye bread toasted so the balance of crunchy and chewy was perfect. Delicious smoked tofu with Russian dressing and so muchsauerkraut. Vegan cheese to top it off. I can't stop thinking about it. Boulder has needed a Jewish deli and Rye Society hasfilled that need (and my belly). Cannot recommend highly enough.
I have cooked homemade matzo ball soup from a box mix for the matzo balls, and this matzo ball soup was much better. The ratio of fennel was very well done- not overwhelming but still fragrant. I bought the cup instead of the quart/bowl, so this may be why I only had one matzo ball. None the less, as a vegetarian who wouldn't be ordering the chicken in the soup for an extra $3, it was very yummy. I was a bit disappointed with the latkes because they were a bit over cooked for me and pretty greasy. But dipping them in the applesauce helped a lot with the taste. It was very nostalgic. I did feel a little queasy from the grease levels after finishing all three though. Additionally, the cashier we had was very friendly! It was a really nice atmosphere from the employees. At this plaza, the food places will text you when your food is ready to pick up. Rye Society never sent us a text while the other members in our group were getting text messages about their food. But we just kept an eye out from our table until we saw our food.
Not going back. This place is housed in a food court called Avanti on the Pearl St. Mall in Boulder. We like going to Avanti because.....food court: something for everyone, except vegetarians like me. Rye Society did have an edible vegan rueben sandwich, but that sandwich plus their tater tots were so salty it 's a once-in-a-lifetime-or-die-early salt fest. I mean, curl-your-tongue and swell-your-ankles-to-cankles salty. So this time I saw they had added a simple Impossible burger to the menu, and because I love rye everything, this one on a rye bun sounded perfect while my carnivorous friends had their druthers at other windows in the food court. We 're all sitting there for a bit, as the vendors in Avanti text you for pick up. One by one, my table mates get their food, when my phone finally goes off for Rye Society. We called you back to tell you we don 't have any Impossible burgers. Really? You didn 't know that when I ordered? You couldn 't have summoned me before now? Now I 'm hungry and cranky and out of options since the rest of Avanti food vendors have only meat dishes (I thought). I wanted a refund, but the child at the register had no idea how to do it. Neither did the other employee, so they grabbed a guy from the next restaurant over. Long story long, in the end all they could do was show me the register for the night 's receipts that said my order was zero dollars. They said it wouldn 't go through . Like I 'm going to trust that, c 'mon. You don 't even know what food you have! I 'll be checking my credit card today, and we 'll see. Veg-heads: want a big hassle, food salted like the middle ages, and to go away hungry? This is your place! I did end up at Boychik, another vendor in Avanti, with some good vegetarian mediterranean food. Glad I found it. Avanti, get some more options in there, m 'dudes!
This place is so cool! The food was amazing and the view was even better. We were able to eat lunch and right after took a stroll down Main Street it was so much fun and so cool the drinks were also very good
