NO FRIGGIN MASH. However, the pie was quite tidy. Couldn’t help myself, I licked the plate clean ! Overall some good mucky grub.

Nice pub tucked away a little but worth the walk, food was good which is what I went for, (thought the drinks were very over priced But all the pubs in Brighton are the same) Good service and everything was good. would go again but not to drink

Great food and atmosphere. I go here from time to time and like the outdoor sitting. I’ve always liked it in here sometimes it takes a while to order a drink or food but its a pretty popular place so it’s understandable. Definitely recommend the Sunday menu (I’m vegan and the choices are great! .

Good crowd of peopel on the night we visited. Decent beer on the hand pumps but NO porter or stout or winter ales of any descrioption. That was disappointing. But friendly staff and a good crowd of people all enjoying themselves with some playing at board games and stuff. Bizarre decor though seems to have been designed by a committee no cohesive theme of any kind, like it couldn't make its mind up. But that's superficial I suppose although it makes it seem a little artificial.

Fantastic midweek meet with friends . Pub warm and welcoming , staff obliging and friendly made a delicious hot toddy for me . Pies are yummy . Pub full on a weeknight which says it all . Good neighbourhood venue
