Doug's Seafood Cafe - Brighton

I love being able to call in on my way home after finishing a round of golf and order takeout from Doug's Seafood. Their fish and chips are always fresh and you truly get good value for your money. I have also dined in with friends from out of town who were impressed by the friendly staff, quick service, and delicious meals. Congratulations to Doug and his staff - I will definitely be returning.

This charming cafe offers delicious food at affordable prices. The barramundi, chips, and salad were excellent, but the bugs were a bit dry, indicating they may have been overcooked.

This restaurant specializes in fish and chips, but also serves delicious Greek-style seafood. The baby octopus on Greek salad is outstanding, with generous portions of both octopus and feta cheese. It's a perfect choice for a summer lunch. My partner and I had a difficult time choosing between the hot and cold seafood platter. This classic platter includes fried scallops, grilled prawns, fresh prawns, two types of fish, oysters, and more. One of the highlights was the ample sauces provided, including little tubs of seafood and tartare sauce.

Excellent place to dine. Great location, friendly staff and wonderful food. The new owners have kept the same beloved food plus they’ve acquired some new, friendly and experienced staff. The garden beds have beautiful blooming flowers in them, the tables are cleared at a rapid pace and I’ve noticed the new staff shirts look great too. ‘Out with the old and in with the new’.

Probably one of the best fish and chip shops in Sandgate! Doug's always seem to have a crowd which is always a good sign. A good menu with great seafood to follow. The portions are huge and definitely value for money. Their chips are hot and fresh and they seem to get orders out quite quickly despite being so busy and popular. I will definitely be back.
