Avaliação da contribuiçãoAfter an expensive renovation this is my favourite venue on Petrie Terrace. Returning for lunch with The Fork’s 50% Deal, we are able to catch up with Manager Matt, a highly experienced Publican who always puts a smile on my dial. The Menu has been updated recently by the new Head Chef so most of the Indian dishes are off the menu. <br/ <br/ 400g Bass Strait Rib on the Bone $44) is nicely grilled medium-rare. A tad too much gristle on the steak but it is still a delicious meal. The Garlic Butter Greens are fantastic! Perhaps I should have ordered Matt’s recommendation, the 300g Riverina Rib Fillet. <br/ <br/ 200g Cape Grim Angus Rump $21) and Reef Topper $10) of sautéed Prawns and Calamari is a great balanced meal. <br/ <br/ Staff at The Lord Alfred are a shining example of what makes this a great Aussie Pub. On football nights the 5 Bars are swamped. Well done guys!<br/ <br/ With Phuong Tran
Came in on a deal food was so delicious. Was not expecting table service but that’s what we got the server was really warm and friendly. <br/ <br/ My salmon dish was well cooked and delicious partner enjoyed his steak.
I enjoy going to this place during the week to relax and enjoy a cold beer. The location is nice, the food is good, and the burgers are recommended. Keep up the good work, guys.
We began with a refreshing round of drinks to beat the heat on a warm day. She ordered an Espresso Martini (her favorite) for both of us, as well as a crisp and refreshing Cosmopolitan. The crispy chicken tenders were coated in buttermilk for a fantastic crunch, with a hint of spicy cayenne pepper.
Like my fellow Zomato foodies, Adam and I were invited to try out the food at Lord Alfred last week. Situated along the corner of Petrie Terrace and Caxton Street near the Barracks, admittedly this is one side of town that I did not often frequent. Heading out to a long lunch as the working year winds down, we arrived at the restaurant at 12pm.
