Lupa - Broad Channel

The food, from appetizers, to entrees, to sides, to desserts, are all stellar. The service is also excellent. Smart dress is better. Casual okay, but you'll stick out.

Very disappointed. My husband and I have been going to Lupa for years. We went for lunch this past weekend and really felt like the bar had fallen. The prosciutto used to be served with fresh mustard and jam on a wood board. This time we literally got a mound of prosciutto on a plate with bread. The dish was also the same price as before but at $20 (not including the mozzarella) is really unreasonable. My husband ordered the strozapretti with short rib which was simply not strozapretti. The food was OK, the pasta was pretty good but the appetizers were very bland and not great. Service was fine, the waiter knew alot about the wine list and the cocktail i got was very good. A little too expensive for what you get. Not bad but not great

Food quality has declined. Sauces were generally to greasy and oily. Pasta was overcooked. pasta was luke warm by the time they arrived with the Parmegano. And the music being played was awful — during our dinner, the restaurant played the entire first Strokes album for some reason — not at all fitting for the ambience and even if you must llay some throwback lofi hipster rock, must you play the entire album? not a great experience.

I ordered the Butternut Squash Cappellacci with Brown Butter Sauce. When I tell you this is the most amazing this I have ever eaten, I mean it. It was the perfect tempature, and I cannot begin to describe its taste. Words cannot describe how delicious this meal was. Also, the customer service was amazing! Our server was very kind and friendly. This most certainly was a wonderful experience and I most certainly will be returning again soon.
