Avaliação da contribuiçãoAs always, food is delicious, and it was a pleasure to dine outdoors, even if it did drizzle (we were able to move under an awning fairly quickly). When not under awning, we were somewhat ignored (busy Sat. PM), and one main dish arrived considerably long after the other. But those are wrinkles, and should be ironed out soon.
I've loved Taberna de Haro for years and am thrilled that it's under new ownership of Boston hospitality gurus Kristie and Jesse Weiss. Same delicious food, killer wine list, and awesome vibe. Can't wait to go back!
Our 2nd visit, we were all blown away after the first visit with the food and service. This time the food was excellent again but unfortunately the service was a let down. No spacing or thought in how the dishes were fired and brought out so everything hot came out at the same time. No serving utensils unlike last time unless specifically requested, and a couple dishes were “forgotten” until we requested them again. The food is still so good that we'll be back, but it was an unfortunate letdown after the initial perfection.
Sat outdoors under the canopy as the rain came down. Cocktails (Martinis with Spanish gin) and oysters were perfect. The tapas choices of cheese toast and calamari were excellent. The red snapper was good, but a bit salty. Dessert of traditional flan was very good. Moved inside to enjoy the ambiance at the bar—always remarkable!
Our favorite patio in town. This was our first visit since the change in ownership so we were curious. They took great care of us and the croquettes were even better than we remembered.
