Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy hubby and I had a reservation for a Valentine dinner at Fontana's. We love to try different restaurants and had not been to Fontana's yet. Great discovery! Food was wonderful! Service was a little slow and they seemed confused about the Valentine menu, but they always stopped by our table to explain. We were in no rush, so for us it was not a big deal. I tried the Banana Nutella specialty Martini, OMG! Heavenly!
Surprise visit from my sister and her boyfriend, staying in Dix30 Alt Hotel for shopping. So we decided to join them for a 2-couples night out. Champagne in their room while looking around for a restaurant. We found this one in a booklet in the hotel room. Although description was quite basic and all we could find online were mixed reviews, we felt like trying it out. The "Gelati Bar" adjective puzzled us a bit but the menu seemed nice, affordable and somewhat not too americano-italian. What a beautiful surprise! Great food! Our favorites were Gnocchi (one of the best ever,) Salmon/tuna tartare combo was amazingly well spiced, full-flavoured goat cheese-walnut-cranberry pasta and Prosciutto pizza with a nice italian crust. Of course, nothing's perfect: sausage Farfalle dish was a bit bland and gelati as desert, although quite good, is not exceptional, which you might expect from their business name. But overall it's really good, the decor is originally nice and modern with great 2nd floor view on outside boutiques, a mixed crowd was there but it was a bit empty (from Oscars Sunday night probably.) And most of all, service was incredible! I think it was Elizabeth, super nice and friendly but not too invasive. She did a wonderful job with advice on the menu and making us comfortable for a great evening. On a side note, web and fb page could definitely use a french copywriter and proofreader. ouch! There's always room for improvement but overall, this a really nice place!
Came here for drinks and dessert with a few friends, did not like it at all. Everything was loaded with sugar and I could not finish anything. Same thing happened with my friends. It's a nice place other than that.
Last month I arrived at Fontana with some friends and they did not have my reservation. So they gave me some VIP passes with 10% discount and we went to an other place for Diner.Last night on May 16th I went there with my wife. The young waitres with the poney tail should be fired. She very unpleasant with client.Good thing Gabrielle was assign to our table. Very good service. She very professional. For the food I will say that I prefered the old Fontana, only Pasta
I bought Tuango coupons and tried with my family .The ambience,service,decor were good but the food was not good enough .The shrimp skewer was too dried. The chicken salad was not fresh (the taste of chicken)and the seafood pasta that my husband chose didn't please him.My son and my daughter have felt ok with their pasta and pizza.After the meal the waitress gave me the bill with the written amount of the regular price so that we could base on that to give the tip.I offered 15% for the tip ,but i believed the food didn't deserve that regular price.I was once the restaurant owner and I suggest they should change their chef.
