High Life Bistro - Bucharest

Was there for a few drinks today. The staff was very friendly and professional. We sat immediately and after the order it was delivered almost immediately. Very clean inside as well as wit clean facilities. Great place with decent prices. Would definitely recommend.

I had a salmon salad. The salmon was cooked at least 2 days before. Really bad taste. I asked for a financial input to make an effort. They said they didn't know how to put it. Never again.

I've patronized this restaurant multiple times as they have good food with decent prices. I have had good experiences with them before. With the exception of my visit today with a exceptionally rude waitress with short curly hair. When we asked for English menu she...outright lied and said there wasn't one(there was), threw the romanian menu on the table and walked away. She came back within a couple of minutes expecting us to magically understand the romanian menu and to decide what we wanted. We said we weren't ready to order and she rolled her eyes at us like we post such a big inconvenience to her for patronizing their restuarant. Such a horrible dining experience.

The waiter was extremly rude and impolite.He rushed us indirectly the whole meal, when we asked to change the table because of the cold, the lady from the door started to shout at us and it’s a shame because the place, food and atmosphere are...really nice.

We went there for dinner; I discovered this old house and garden in the heart of the city (near Victoriei Square). I liked the interior design and also the garden. The waiter came immediately with the menus and he was polite. Several second courses seemed interesting; eventually we chose a shrimp salad and turkey breast in a rind of mozzarella and gorgonzola. While waiting, we were offered bread, butter and olives on the house. Both dishes were fresh, tasty and looked appetizing. Beside shrimps, the shrimp salad was made of a salad mix, with orange, goat cheese and sunflower seeds – nice combination, I really enjoyed it. Maybe it would have been easier to have it in a less tall plate. The turkey breast was also very good, and it came with a tasty and interesting side dish. As for the home-made lemonade, it was a good choice for that hot evening. No sooner had we finished that the waiter came several times to take the plates away. As a suggestion, the red carpet at the entrance of the bistro and the ashtrays should be replaced. Don’t expect a fancy place; we had a good dinner and it was value for money.
