Avaliação da contribuiçãoTwo weeks ago we organized a family event at La Bucur restaurant (we have invited 30 persons). The reservation was made with Bogdan Bucur (the young owner of this restaurant). We specified that we wanted to be placed on the main room, but in the day of the event we were placed on a secondary room, which was not even set up properly (it was more like a storage room). The serving was very poor, we waited about an hour to be served (even though we had a reservation), the waiters came very rare in our room and we had to ask for a lot of things (starting from dishes/glasses until being served with food). The food seemed regular, but almost all my guests (including me) suffered later from food poisoing (about 20 persons, including old persons and children). The cause was lack of hygiene (as we found out later). When I went to discuss this issue with the owner, he was very disrespectful, saying that he did not believe us and that he was not his fault. As we insisted, he kicked us out of his restaurant. For me, it was a very big disapointment and a real shame towards my guests. It was a total fail and, unfortunately, there is nobody to bear the consequences, because Bogdan Bucur is far from being a good and a respectful owner to his clients.
'La Bucur' was for us a good option for lunch. Their menu is based on Czech pub and Romanian dishes, and the food was good. The choice of beers was a little bit disappointing.
+ good position+ good coffee (Illy)+ waitress is very nice and respectful+ they open early, while most of the restaurants in Tineretului open after 11:00 when you are already starved.- tables were not well cleaned, were DIRTY- they brought me long coffee instead of short coffee, but they replaced it immediately- they forgot to bring us the croissant included in the menu and webhad to remind them of it- in the menu it is written "..., jam, nutella, etc." but they said is was actually jam OR nutella- the plate they gave me was DIRTY - dry egg on it- the replacement plate was DIRTY, again, but not as the first one - I cleaned it- it took a bit long to bring us the food, considering we were the only clients in the restaurant (outsinde, on the terrace, were clients but I assume there was another waiter responsabile with the terrace)- Menus are ripped offWould not return! Do not recommend! Here are some pictures.
We went there for our first lunch in Bucharest. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. The price was ok and service was great. The place was also very cozy and nice.
