Ellen's Danish Pancake House - Buellton

Very good breakfast! I had the pancake sandwich and my girlfriend had the bacon and eggs! Plenty of food and it was all good! I recommend this place when you feel a small cafe type!

This restaurant is a must-visit if you're traveling along Highway One. The server approached us with the confidence of someone who knows they serve an incredible breakfast, and she was spot on. My friend chose the Danish pancakes while I opted for the Reuben sandwich. I’d gladly eat that sandwich again, even if it came from the bottom of a biker's boot! Be sure to dine here on a pleasant Sunday afternoon and take a moment to enjoy the beautiful local views.

Ellen's is truly unmatched. It's hands down the best breakfast spot between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The tiny Danish pancakes and sausages, paired with perfectly cooked eggs, are absolutely incredible. And no one—absolutely no one—leaves Ellen's without trying the apple-smoked bacon, which is made with 90 percent lean meat!

These are likely the best pancakes you'll ever taste—if not the best overall, then definitely the best in the Danish style. Enjoy them with blueberry jam while taking in the cozy ambiance of this charming small town eatery. And don't hesitate to add a side of bacon; it's sure to enhance your meal!
