Bernice's Sandwich Shop - Bunkie

Went to Bernice's Sandwich Shop yesterday because the husband wanted a burger. I wasn't hungry yet when I arrived since it was right before noon and thought I could order a cheeseburger for later. Nope, it didn't last for later. Once that cheeseburger was set down in front of me, it was gone. It smelled so delicious. I ate it like I was starving. Best cheeseburger I've had in 4 years!

They're burgers are great! Also highly recommend the shrimp poboy. The shrimp are gigantic. Also, the portions are very generous. You definitely get your money's worth.

First time I’ve stopped here. Took me straight back to my childhood. When burgers tasted beefy and cheesy, and not like meat loaf. Absolutely my favorite burger! Loved it! And then i topped it off with garlic cheese curds! As a man from northern michigan right near Wisconsin, these curds were amazing! Can’t wait to come back!

Bernice's done got Too Expensive and The Guy's That Work in there don't act Friendly at all. But the Ladies that work there act Cool. But they done went up too high on the Food there n Their Food isn't as good as it has been in the Past. I'm being kind giving them 2 Stars ? ?

Unfortunately I forgot to ask for a receipt. However, I ordered a shrimp poboy (approx. 6” , Cajun fries and a drink. The poboy had 5 shrimp on it and there were about a handful of fries in the bag for $3, almost $4. I paid $16 for it. I will not be returning and due to my time constraints, I was unable to discuss my order as well as my coworker’s order with them. I saw an order of fries being placed on the rack as I was placing my order and I must say, it was 3 times the size of my order of fries in the same size bag. I drive through Bunkie often, and this is one place that I will not return to. I spoke with a resident and he stated that his order is always big and he doesn’t understand why our experience wasn’t the same. I will not be returning. I wanted to try something different because I usually go to the pizza place down the road. Definitely regretting that decision. Parking didn’t seem to be an issue. They asked if I could straighten out my vehicle. I thought I was straight. I parked parallel to the other vehicle in the lot. Later found out they meant perpendicular with the building.
