Bunya Mountains Tavern

Mixed review: went for dinner on a Saturday night as a family group. Staff were friendly and attentive, and one burger special was excellent. However other three mains were lukewarm at best and meals took over an hour to arrive. Kid’s meal affordable but very small. Service: 3

We had a great meal at the Bunya Mountains Tavern. We were hoping for a better than ‘average’ evening out, not having to cook on our last night on holiday. Instead, we got a really fantastic meal- really impressed! Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. We would definitely recommend!

Came out this way in march 2023 with about 30 motorcyclists for lunch. Service and staff were good but did take them an hour to notice a patron had a dog in the state forest and inside the tavern. Eventually they were asked to leave the premises and the park. Food was good but took forever to arrive and also over priced. Food drinks: slow and expensive Service: 4 Hotel highlights: Luxury

Rooms: Clean and comfortable accommodation with all the comforts of home. Value for money. Nearby activities: A perfect location to all walking tracks and cafe restaurants. Safety: Highly looked after area and signs. Walkability: This is an ideal location to access all facilities by foot. Once you're there, everything is located within walking distance. Noteworthy details: You have come to the right place if you're after a good hike through an amazing Bunya bushland, relax, and have a picnic with the wallabies, eat at the Taven or takeaway and then enjoy a warm cabin next door.
