Avaliação da contribuiçãoI love atmosphere there with noble Chinese decor. We have the hot and sour soup as an appetizer, one of the stirring noodles, some vegetables. They were fantastic. I'm definitely back.
This was my first time here. The menu was a little different than I'm used to but ended up with the orange flavored beef combo. It came with egg roll, a fried shrimp, soup (I got hot and sour). It was pretty good and had enough leftover for lunch tomorrow. Service was good. Parking isn't great but there is a parking structure behind off of Orange Grove and a alley to the restaurant.
Gourmet has mostly good food. The garlic shrimp and fish in black bean sauce are delicious as is the Kung Pao chicken. And their egg drop, hot and sour and vegetable soups are quite good. However the fried shrimp which accompany their dinner combinations are dry and lack flavor. And their Rangoon wontons filled with cream cheese are not only not Chinese but odd in flavor. But everything else I have ordered has been quite good.
I was looking for a place to eat dinner before I go see a movie in downtown Burbank and saw this restaurant, I checked out the posted menu by the door and saw that the prices were reasonable so I decided to try them out, my server was Alex626 and he was a very pleasant and attentive, I ordered the Kung pao Chow Mien plate and asked how long it would take and he said a couple of minutes and I was pleasantly surprised that my food arrived within a few minutes, the food was good and filling, service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant, I plan on coming back here to try out the other menu items.
Go here once in a blue moon, I live too far to come here more often. Their food is fresh, steamed meat dumplings are so good and worth the wait. Next time maybe we'll get 2 orders. We all shared the veggies, Mongolian chicken, sweet sour pork, and chicken fried rice. Dessert was an equally delicious mango sorbet. Wish I lived closer to be able to come here more often.
