A&W Restaurant - Burnaby

Any of the burgers are awesome and their steel mesh boxes they serve their fries in are awesome - the onion wings are old school awesome and the service is always great and when they get busier they get more friendly!

This place really is a hit and miss. Sometimes the food is incredible and sometimes it really is substandard. Same goes for the staff. At times they seem bored they have to take your order and at times they are very friendly. It depends who is working.. I really do like A&W's decision to use meat that is steroid and hormone free. There are consistently better A&Ws than this location.

I've been going to A&W for almost 60 years. Our Grandma used to give us money so we could walk down the street to buy a gallon of root beer and some hamburgers. I don't think the gallon jug is an option anymore, but you can still order their rootbeer in a wonderful glass mug. There are a lot of choices of burgers and chicken, but my favourite is the Teen Burger. It has a beef patty, A&W seasoning, lettuce, tomato, bacon, processed cheddar cheese, Teen sauce, ketchup, mustard, pickles, sliced onion, all on a sesame seed bun, Also, as a bonus, their meat doesn't have hormones.

Filthy tables, got the Coney dog order wrong and there was something hard in my burger. Almost broke a tooth.
