Avaliação da contribuiçãoFantastic food and a great price since the portions are huge. I enjoyed their veg pakora and samosas, goat vindaloo, and chai. However I must mention that I came here years ago and they grossly overcharged me for the desserts at the side thinking that they could get away with it since I'm not east Indian. I haven't returned since then but was pleasantly surprised when I did this time.
One of the best tasting Punjabi food places in Burnaby and reasonably priced. I found it accidentally while driving by.
Good place to go for veg samosas, Chana bhatura and Indian sweets. Food is always fresh and while decor is typical of an Indian cafe, it is clean and the food is hot, tasty and cheap. Please note that this is a takeaway type cafe, with 3 or 4 tables, not a sit down restaurant.
I don't normally eat Indian food but my friends and I ordered some take out and it was great. When we called, we had to talk to 3 different people and had to repeat our order 3 times, but after that it was all good. We ordered a large Muter Paneer. It was our favourite by far! Spicy but not TOO much. The cheese was really good! We also had a Chana Masala. It was very filling and also really good. Less spicy than the Muter Paneer. We also had naan, cheese naan and veggie samosas which were also really good! I was pretty satisfied with our meal. Super filling! The only negative comment I have is that the service in-store was not very good but otherwise I was happy with everything.
Baba Sweets is home of the samosa nazi. On my recent visits, samosa nazi has lightened her mood. And she's hired some lovely staff. Service is slow. Veg samosas, fried peas, meat wrap and naan are the best options. Their curries are okay but not great - thin gravy, not a lot of substance, lacks intense flavour. My husband says their sweets are good. Go for the foods that I mentioned above. If you want a nice curry, I'd suggest you go elsewhere.
