El Olivo - Caen

A restaurant I highly recommend, so the setting is beautiful, very cocooning, chic and comfortable. A menu at 19.90 euros even on Sunday, delicious and very hearty. Servers to our small care, very welcoming and very professional. I've been here several times, but the first time I've filed a notice, because I've never been disappointed. Located at the top of the Vaugueux, beautiful Caen district, located between the magnificent Caen castle and the port of Plaisance. Run, you won't regret it.

A pleasant welcome as well as the setting and the musical atmosphere. Menu tested 26,90€. The foie gras was medium in the form of foam but acceptable, the piece of beef was excellent, in sufficient quantity and very well cooked, the gnocchis with the truffle were a little too much garlic but not almost the total absence of the truffle, the buns lost bread with caramel ice and the caramel coulis very good (soft and not too sweet). A good address to Caen.

The tin is served hot, complicated to cut, no good quality, no fresh. For 23€, I am extremely disappointed.
