I recently bought a weekend home in Palenville, a Hamlet of Catskill, NY. Even though I was hardly there this past year, I had to keep my electric baseboard heat on 24/7 to avoid freezing pipes. My electric bills were through the roof. I decided to buy a wood pellet stove to help offset these utility bills now that I expect to be there more often. After doing my research, I realized that whatever pellet stove I bought, in order to have it work efficiently and increase it's overall useful lifespan with the least amount of breakdowns, it is critical to burn a high quality pellet. What is a high quality pellet? Generally, a brand that produces minimal ash, has a low moisture content, produces the maximum amount of BTUs per pound, and is free of plastics, glues, and other non-wood substances. I also needed a reliable source that can also deliver my order when needed in a timely fashion. On the internet, everyone seems to have their favorite brand/type of pellet. Hardwoods, sotwoods, mixed, yada yada yada. I was confused. Then, Slater's Smart Shop and Wood Pellet Store was recommended to me by a local businessman and resident of the Catskills. Boy was that man right. I went over to Cairo and met the owner, Justin, and had a great experience. Justin and his Dad are the nicest people and super knowledgeable about wood pellets. They carry an EXTENSIVE choice of wood pellet types and brands. Justin, with great patience, took the time to answer all my questions and made some great recommendations and I ended up purchasing what is generally considered the BEST wood pellets on the market. The internet reviews substantiate that. I walked away with a great wood pellets purchase and the confidence that I was getting exactly what I wanted/needed for my new pellet stove to function at it's maximum efficiency. Need wood pellets? Don't purchase them from anywhere else except Justin at Slater's Stop Shop and Wood Pellet Store. If I could, I would give them 6 stars.
They have it all ! Convenience store items , Frozen Cow ice cream shop , Daltons Donuts a Subway sandwich shop all in one .
This place has not been good lately. The vegetables are not even fresh! The lettuce is always brown and mushy! IDK if they reuse the Vegetables from the previous day
I usually always go here for my subs. Get the same thing every time. Never had a problem till this last Tuesday. I got a 12 inch tuna and this kid only put 2 scoops on. I asked for more and he said he was gonna charge me more. The tuna didn't even cover the sub lol I always get 4 scoops with a 12 inch. So I told him I no longer wanted the sub he then tells me so ur gonna make me throw it away. I just wanted to leave so I had him scratch the tuna off aND give me something else. Idk if u guys are trying to save or what but I won't be back.
