Lulu - Calgary

The restaurant has a bustling atmosphere, which feels excessively trendy at times, but the food was quite good. The service was decent, although at moments it felt a bit overzealous as they kept clearing our plates before we had finished!

The food was delicious, we went during late night happy hour. My only, is the service, I think our server forgot about us or the transfer to another waiter/waitress didn’t happen as smoothly as they hoped for as we are waiting for over 15 minutes to get my first drink. 

For the past few Sundays some girls from work meet for drinks and dinner and my pick this week was Lulu Bar. We ordered several dishes to share and almost all were GF (I’m celiac). There wasn’t one thing that we didn’t rave about, I was so full and happy by the end. Both the server and manager led us through the menu and made sure to modify anything they possibly could so I could partake.

As always, excellent service and fantastic food. Tuna poke is delicious the sesame crackers really make it a highlight. Loved the cod too. Shared both along with the squid and found it to be the perfect combination of flavours. Had a great experience and will look forward to next time.

It was a great experience food was amazing. Must visit.
