Ruth's Chris Steak House - Calgary

Incredible food. steak is boiled on a splashy butter plate which is placed on her table so that her eating remains hot throughout the whole meal. we had the first-class special menu, which was fabulous. rosmarinbrot, Caesar salad and a 6oz steak with...nothing doesn't sound massive, but I was filled to the best possible wise. would recommend this place to anyone who visits calgary.

The restaurant is situated in the tower at Calgary. They offer a reduced entrance to the tower if you dine with them. Neither our server or the greeter knew anything about this. We ordered a well done steak and a medium well both were...served well done, not a hint of pink. The starter salad was a bit meagre, with one half of a tiny tomato and just a hint of goats cheese. The side orders were generous, a good portion of fries and asparagus. The wine was expensive and a little acidic, we ordered a Sauvignon blanc, I would prefer mine smoother. The server needed to keep saying what marvellous quality everything was, it always makes me suspicious.

We took our daughter and two grandsons for the Calgary Stampede parade, with pre booked seats at the restaurant overlooking the start of the parade route, at the base of the Calgary tower, first floor. What a treat! We had a superb table against the window,...and saw the parade close up. Our server and the management were super friendly and fussed over making sure that we were escorted to the buffet in the first wave, so the little kids were treated well. Great buffet spread. And immaculate washrooms for a four hour parade, essential for both grandkids and us old gimmers…. Best parade ever! Looking forward to returning for their fabled steaks!

We came here for my son's birthday. The ambiance was good and also it is at the base of the Calgary Tower. The food was good but very small serving for a price of $60. The servers were fantastic and helpful. We had some steak...and NY sirloin. May not come back.

My husband surprised me by taking me to Ruth Chris for our anniversary dinner- (19 years) I don’t know how we will ever top this place! The service was top notch, and personalized- they even put little anniversary confetti on the table. Food was outstanding!...I started with lobster bisque and my husband a Caesar salad- both were absolutely delicious. We then ordered steaks and had a side of asparagus and au gratin to share. Followed by cheesecake for dessert. Everything was amazing- I’m not usually a steak person but I’d get one here every time. Drinks were also well made. Can’t wait to celebrate another milestone at Ruth Chris.
