Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe found this nice restaurant walking along the wall of Cartagena, away from the masses of people and street sellers. The waiter explained the food options, which included fix rate for the flow of cold mineral water for up to 4 people which was a blessing after walking in this lovely but hot city. We tried the prawns, octopus, corvina .... all tasty as well as delicious deserts and reasonably priced Portuguese wine. We went back next day and it served consistently good food in a quiet atmosphere at competitive prices when compared to other touristy options that charged more for average food. Loved Salou!
Went to Salou for our anniversary and last night in Cartagena. We loved this place! The waiter was lovely, recommended many dishes to try. The Classico Ceviche was amazing, probably the best in Colombia that we experienced. Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. We also tried the crab wontons, stuffed shrimp, rice in seafood broth, and nutella/caramel wontons, all amazing!
This is hands down THE BEST restaurant I have been to in Cartagena. Unfortunately TripAdvisor doesn't denote it as vegetarian friendly resulting in it falling off the map for us vegetarians. They have an English menu with several vegetarian dishes featured. From mushroom ceviche, plantain croquettes to soup and delicious vegetable sorrentino (similar to ravioli, stuffed with substantive veggies served with either pesto or spinach sauce). Our meal started with plantain chips with a mayonnaise, passion fruit & mint sauce (best sauce I've had in Colombia) with compliments of the house and then I indulged in croquettes and the sorrentino. The boyfriend loved his meat & seafood options - he got a spicy ceviche & a juicy Lucy burger. We love our spicy food so the owner specially got us a habanero sauce. The restaurant has a sizable wine list and the evening we went they had just opened a bottle of Italian montalcino and were serving it by the glass. We ended this perfect meal with some Nutella dumplings. GO HERE! Whether you're vegetarian or a meat lover, GO. Forget the hype of La Vitrola (terrible vegetarian meal for me) and go here to this family owned restaurant for your best meal in Cartagena and maybe even Colombia!
Very small, cosy restaurant. Very friendly and informative service.Super delicious local meal. From nice starter and all four fantastic courses.Only complaint; too little dessert! (and maybe that it was not possible to get Colombian wine by the glass). It was a great evening overall. Thank you.
Thia is a nice, comfortable and cozy restaurant, kind of reminded me of a French Bistro. The Latin menu is extensive, featuring a variety of Ceviches, soups, salads, fresh seafood, meats, pastas and a nice variety of sides. I had the Crab Wontons (excellent), and an entree of Seared Tuna Filet served on Orange Rice - 4 generous portions of tuna - very savory and delicious. My partner enjoyed Sweet Plantain Croquettes as an appetizer and an entree of Posta Cartagena (marinated stew beef - classic of the Colombian Coast). They also offer several tasty desserts but we just did not have room for more food that night.
